Dr. Ferret's Bad Medicine Roadshow
Beware Dr Ferret and his gang! The doctor and his Sweetheart Singers are out to find out just how mischievous today’s children really are, as they sort the good eggs from the bad.
Dr Ferret's Bad Medicine Roadshow is a brand new Scottish Opera commission. Inspired by Hilaire Belloc’s classic, Cautionary Tales, Dr Ferret tells the curious stories of Matilda, whose lies ignited a terrible fire, Henry King who ate too much string, and George, a little boy who causes a lot of trouble…
Members of Scottish Opera’s Connect Company – 20 young singers aged between 14 and 21 – joined players from The Orchestra of Scottish Opera to perform this brand new adventure.
A co-production between the Citizens' Theatre and Scottish Opera.
Music by Stephen Deazley
Written by Martin Riley
Dr Ferret Adam Miller
Director Andy Manley
Conductor Oliver Rundell
Designer Alison MacLaurin
Choreographer Darren Brownlie
