Ian and I went into a local nursery to get some press shots for the show. We let the children loose on us with pots of paint. I think they were a little unsure at first but as you can see they soon got the hang of it. Photographs by Douglas Robertson
White has started rehearsals which is very exciting...if a little scarey. It is being performed throughout the festival from 6th -29th Aug at the Book Trust as part of the Traverse Theatre programme. White is part of the Made in Scotland showcase. Photograph by Paul Watt
White has been given funding by Made in Scotland and so will be on at this years Edinburgh Fringe. It is being created in collaboration with Shona Reppe and Catherine Wheels.
Have started to think about White, the new baby show I will be working on. At the New Vic the room I do the show in is separated by curtains and many of the children really enjoy them. A small boy loved turning in them the other day. A lot have enjoyed pushing them and the shapes they have created on the opposite side from them have been great
I like the idea that you might be able to see through them at some point and had also been thinking about net curtain. Covered but seen. In but out. For a baby could be quite fascinating. Pretty horrible for us though... |
